OBITUARY
Jacob Scott-Dillon Decker
June 26, 2001 – June 22, 2022

Wednesday, June 22, 2022, Jacob Scott-Dillon, my only prince; my handsome, smart, quirky, talented, beautiful brown-eyed boy; my perfectly imperfect son, and my heart ran into the loving arms of Jesus. For nearly 21 years, Jacob valiantly fought and conquered many battles against congenital heart disease. But that morning, God saw him getting tired and so He put His arms around him and whispered, "Come with Me."
2 Timothy 4:7-8
7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Our loss is immeasurable, but so is the love Jacob left with us.
There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love. – Washington Irving
To know Jacob was to love Jacob. Yes, his journey earthside was short, but o how he lived and o how he loved.
