She was born to Raiford and Nellie Wilson on October 1, 1953. She graduated from Holt High School in 1971. She graduated from Shelton State Cosmetology School in 1978. She then became a successful business owner through her beauty salons.
Cherry Kay was a selfless, loving, caring and kind individual to everyone she knew and met. She refused to be defined by the illness she lived with for so long. She never complained about any situation she was facing and always kept an upbeat positive attitude throughout the years. Her strong faith in the Lord helped her throughout the battle with multiple myeloma. Her love for her family was undeniable. She lived for long days at the ballpark, school performances, awards days, and any event her grandchildren were a part of. She rarely missed anything.
She will be greatly missed by so many people. Her memory will live on in all of the cherished memories and life lessons she taught her family and friends.
