Casimer Witek

Casimer (Casey) Witek of Park Ridge, Illinois peacefully passed away January 24, 2023 at the age of 76 in Fountain Hills, Arizona. Casey was born February 18, 1946 in Torun, Poland. He arrived in the United States when he was 18 years old and was drafted into the Army a few years later. Proudly serving his country while deployed in Vietnam, he was extremely honored to be a Vietnam Veteran. He was an active member of the American Legion-Post 58 in Fountain Hills, Arizona, where he regularly visited. Riding his motorcycle with his wife Christina, visiting friends and exploring all 50 states including his yearly vacations to Hawaii brought him so much happiness. Casey especially enjoyed meeting up with his dear friends for their “Breakfast Club.” He was a husband, son, father, brother, grandfather, cousin, uncle, and friend to many, but his favorite title was Dziadek (Grandpa) and he loved nothing more than spending time with his five grandchildren. Casey was always kind and generous to everyone he knew. We will always carry his memory in our hearts, and never forget this man who was so highly respected by all. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Christina Witek, son David Witek (Heather), daughters Wanda Witek and Amy Finney (Stephen), grandchildren Harrison, Morgan, Aidan, Kiera, and Alice, siblings Stella Misiolek (Joseph), Harriet Stupec (Bob), Jesse Witek (Donna), Irene Morrissey (the late Jim), Joanne Davis (Jason), and countless loved cousins, nephews, and nieces. He is preceded in death by his father Stanley Witek and mother Stella Witek. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made out to the Wounded Warrior Project. www.woundedwarriorproject.org
