Kenneth Ray Kennedy

Kenneth Ray Kennedy of Monticello, Florida passed away on the 15th day of March 2023 at the age of 66. He was born on May 15, 1956, in Chester, South Carolina where he grew up. He retired after 25 years as a 1SG in the U.S. Army with the Bravo Co 1st Battalion 4th Aviation Regiment “Gamblers”, and then retired again after 17 years in the U.S. Postal service as a postal carrier. He was actively involved in Calvary Baptist Church in Monticello, Florida and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his Wife, Kathy Kennedy, Daughter Katrina Reffitt (Shannon Reffitt), and grandchildren Ashley Reffitt and Nathan Reffitt. The family would like to thank The Thomasville Police Department and the Thomasville Walmart staff including but not limited to bystander Amy for the care and compassion given. Family and friends are invited to attend a Service at the Tallahassee National Cemetery on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his honor to Calvary Baptist Church, Monticello, Florida. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He never met a stranger and was a true friend to all who knew him. We will miss him dearly.
