Dennis Whidden

Dennis Wilson Whidden died on January 27th in Tallahassee, FL after losing his battle with cancer. He was born to Ira and Mary Whidden on March 7, 1950. Dennis loved his family, traveling, and the Florida State Seminoles. His family was one of the founding families on Key Biscayne and he was a proud lifelong “Keyrat”. Dennis was a devoted father to his children and a coach/mentor to many in the community. As an FSU season ticket holder since the early-1970s, you may have seen him at Florida State Football, Baseball, or Basketball games. He also loved helping others find good deals: If he didn’t help you purchase a car or find a cruise, you probably know someone he assisted. He is survived by his 3 children Denise Rathmann, Chris Whidden, and Nick Whidden, their spouses, and his 6 grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at Canopy Roads Baptist Church @11 am, March 18, 2023 in Tallahassee, FL.
