OBITUARY
Farrel Harland Wright
November 10, 1934 – February 2, 2023
Farrel Harland Wright was born on the family farm in Bradgate, IA on 11/10/34. He passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, WA on 2/2/23 with his youngest daughter by his side.
He dedicated his entire life to work, family, and fishing, lots of fishing! In 1968 he started work for Schwan’s Home Service as a route salesperson and worked his way up the corporate ladder. Farrel was with Schwan's for the next 30 year, semi-retiring in 1998. Prior to that he was with Obergs Dairy. He went on to work for a home security company, sold cakes, was a pizza delivery driver, gas station attendant, cab driver, the list just goes on and on. The man didn’t slow down until his cancer forced him to at the age of 80. All six of his children worked for Schwan’s at some point, Randall, Shannon, Sandalynn, Jeannie, Falyn & Rayell. Falyn stayed for 40 years and retired there. Working was not enough for a soul as deep as his, he gave his free time to Kiwanis, The Scottish Rite, Salvation Army, and he assisted several youngsters in obtaining scholarships via The Free Masons, including his granddaughters, Madeline Kate Bishop and Kellen Vanaca Jo Kyker. He was very proud to see anyone work hard and achieve a goal. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jo Wright, as well as twelve grandchildren and, so far, eight great-grandchildren.
He lived a very full life for the 88 years he was on this planet and paid it forward at every opportunity. We were all blessed to call him Dad….
