Pamela was born in Erith Kent, England, on September 19, 1937, to Walter Earley and Florence Adelaide Smith Earley was raised in a small village, Alconbury. She was a proper British woman and loved her country and home. Until she died, she had a hint of that authentic British accent, even though she would tell you she didn’t. She attended the Alconbury CV School (Church of England) which she graduated from at the age of 15 and started working as a bookkeeper. When Pamela was seventeen, she met the love of her life, James Thomas Alston, from America. He was stationed on the Airforce base there. She married on July 16, 1956. They were married for Sixty-four long, happy years before James passed. Pamela loved singing, shopping, baking with the grandchildren, and painting. They eventually retired to the Mountains of New Mexico. After several years, they moved away from their beloved Mountains to Texas. She loved her Mountains and always wished to go back to them one day. After her cremation, service will be held at Fort Stanton Military Cemetery in Fort Stanton, New Mexico. She and her husband, James T. Alston, will be buried together, surrounded by family and friends. Further service information to come later as the family prepares their goodbyes.
