Obituary of Francis Dean Riding
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francis Dean Riding, fondly known as Pa, on March 15th, 2023. Surrounded by his loved ones, Dean peacefully left this world at the age of 65. Born on May 24th, 1957 to Max Riding and Doreen Simpson, Dean was a mischievous child, always up for an adventure and a good prank. He brought much joy and laughter to his family with his playful spirit. Dean married Tammy Bowen on April 5th, 1980, and together they raised two wonderful children, Renee and Ryan. He was a devoted husband and father, and his love and care extended to his five grandchildren, Kade, Kyrie, Kyran, Jaden, and Baily. His grandchildren affectionately called him Pa, and he took great pleasure in spending time with them, making memories that will be cherished forever. Dean had a unique sense of style, often seen wearing his signature tie-dyed shirts, mismatched fuzzy pajamas, and tiger eye bracelets. He had a passion for baking delicious treats, including sugar cookies, pumpkin rolls, and zucchini and banana bread. Every Christmas, Dean would cook a mouth-watering prime rib that was the highlight of the holiday feast. One of Dean's favorite pastimes was fishing at Strawberry Reservoir. He had a secret to catching fish that involved yelling, "Here fishy, fishy, fishy," and it always seemed to work. He was also a dedicated volunteer coach for his kids' and grandkids' sports teams, spending countless hours on the field and court. Dean’s selflessness knew no bounds, and he was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, whether it was visiting someone in the hospital or offering a listening ear. Dean will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will live on. We take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and reunited with those who have gone before him. We thank Dean's friends for their unwavering support and the Walmart family for bringing him joy during his time working with them.. The love and sympathy shown by those who knew him is a testament to the impact he had on their lives. Although he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on.
