Ellen A Swabon

Ellen Swabon, age 86, passed away, Monday, May 22, 2023, in Port St. Lucie, FL. Ellen was born July 21, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan to James and Clara (Carpenter) Reardon. Ellen is a graduate of St Mary’s of Redford, University of Detroit Mercy, and Eastern Michigan University. She served the Archdiocese’s of Detroit and Miami as a teacher, principal, and administrator over the course of 45 years. During retirement she enjoyed volunteering by writing grant proposals for various non-profit groups and especially enjoyed playing golf. She will be remembered as an active mother and grandmother. Her Family…She was preceded in death by her loving husband Daniel C. Swabon. She is survived by daughters, Mary Clare Swabon, Anne Swabon and Maggie York; grandchildren Jake and Timothy Szary and Heather York. Her Farewell…Per Ellen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions are suggested to the University of Detroit Mercy - General Scholarship fund.
