Obituary of Philip Arnold Anderson
"On earth I walk with angels, just as in heaven I will." Philip A. Anderson, 80 , of Largo Florida, passed away January 26, 2023. Phil was born in Hartsville, SC, graduated from Clearwater High School and served in the US Air Force from 1963-1967. During his time in the Air Force he served in Vietnam and was stationed at Patrick Air Force Base. In the military, he was trained as an Air Traffic Controller, and he continued his career with the FAA for over 30 years, retiring in Tampa. Phil was a licensed pilot and also attended Tampa College and graduated with a Bachelor's degree. He was a family man who was fiercely loyal to them until his last breath. Anyone who knew Phil should feel lucky because he had the heart of gold. He will be greatly missed by all of us. He loved his children, grand children, and grand doggies. Survivors include his three children and spouses: Mary Inglima (Dan), Joy Fisher (Ryan) and Patrick Anderson (Rebecca) and six grandchildren: Mark, Coleman, Connor, Alma, Sienna, Eva. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: SPCA Largo (9099 130th Avenue North, Largo, FL 33773) in memory of Philip Anderson. The Military Veteran memorial service (immediate family only) will be held at 2pm on February 9th, 2023... East Gate , 9500 Bay Pines Blvd., 33744 & 95TH Street (WAWA Gas Station). Drive 1000 feet to a white canvas tunnel tent on Hoover Blvd. We are on the left side... large grey triangle building. This will be followed by a celebration of life at The Inglima’s home (2132 Ibis Drive, Clearwater, FL 33764) from 4:00PM - 8:30PM. Thank you for the outpouring of love from all of you!
