Obituary of James Albert Pierson
James Albert Pierson, age 78, of Palm Harbor, Florida passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023 at home with his wife Debra by his side. Born in Aurora, Illinois, he was the son of the late Albert and Margaret Pierson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Lori Brewer. Jim was of the Catholic faith. He graduated from Marmion Military Academy and began his career at Caterpillar Tractor Company. He later met and married his soulmate, Deb. Having retired from Caterpillar where he worked for 40 years, he was ready for warmer sunny skies and beaches. He was an avid high-scoring bowler, cut-throat Scrabble player, loved to travel, eat chocolate, watch old movies, classic country music, model trains, woodworking, walking the beaches, and drinking Southern Comfort or a top-shelf single malt Scotch whiskey. He had an undying devotion and love of his wonderful wife of 30 years, Deb. Being in the presence of this wonderful couple, you could just feel and see the love they shared for each other. Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather of his blended family and a friend to many. He is survived by his wife Debra Pierson of Palm Harbor, sons James of California and Copper Pierson of Illinois, daughter Jacynth Ice of Illinois, stepdaughter Susan Hayes of Illinois and stepson John Wallrich of Illinois, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Sue Mcgray (James) of Cornville, Arizona and brother-in-law James Brewer of Plano, Illinois, along with many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him, and remembered for being the voice of reality, known for his sarcastic wit and humor, funny wisecracks and well-timed puns. To mourn his passing, Jim's wish is for you to celebrate life itself, embrace your family and friends and help others make their little corner of the world a better place. In lieu of a service, raise a toast with your favorite beverage and please hold your fond memories of Jim alive in your heart and share them with each other.
