So very sad to hear of Bernadette Storck’s passing last night. She was the cornerstone of the Tampa Public Library for well over 30 years and moved on to organize the Pinellas County Library Cooperative for another ten years. She returned to THCPL and worked diligently to reorganize and strengthen the Friends of the Library. Always active in library and community activities, she was a State and Hillsborough County treasure. My prayers and condolences to her family who she loved and nurtured with all her heart. Rest In Peace Bernadette. No one could have given more. 🥲🥲🥲

I was fortunate to serve with Bernadette on our condo association board when she was President. Everything I learned about governance I learned from her. I also discovered what documents were crucial to keep and which were not. Last but not least, what a memory she had! Rest in peace, Bernadette.

I worked for Bernadette at the Pinellas Public Library Cooperative while going to library school to get my MLS Degree. I was her administrative assistant. She poured so much love and knowledge into me during this time. Each Friday she would take me out to lunch. This was our special time, and we would talk about everything. Throughout the years I would continue to turn to her when I had a difficult problem and needed her advice. She will be missed.

I am so thankful that we were able to have a wonderful Spanish meal at your house in Dec. 2019. It was delicious and so much fun to be around family. I am glad that I got to see you in the Rehab facility. I remember you attending Jared's Eagle scout award ceremony and the best gift he received was the book you gave him on National Park hikes! Until we meet again in heaven. Love you, Janet Roberts

Bernadette was one of my mentors. She always had time to advise or help with a dilemma. Her vast knowledge of our library history in Florida and parliamentary prowess were outstanding. I will miss her with that smile and twinkle in her eyes.

Thank you, Bernadette, for your example and your inspiration to so many Florida librarians, especially those who studied with you at the University of South Florida, School of Information. Your legacy extends to the many people who have been helped by the librarians you taught to be excellent and kind.
