Timothy Shawn Boyce

Timothy S. Boyce of Decatur, TX passed away on Sunday morning, January 29th 2023 at the age of 62 at home in Bowie, TX. He was born on November 25th, 1959 in Lakewood, Ohio. He grew up in Millersburg, PA. He graduated from Millersburg High School in 1977 and Southern Illinois University in 1992. Tim enlisted in the Air Force in 1977 and served for 33 years, earning numerous awards including Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, and Air Force Good Conduct Medal. His tours of service include Lakenheath, England for two years. He served as a flight engineer in the US Air Force, and had an accomplished career as a commercial flight engineer and ground school instructor, in addition to having his private pilots license. He was actively involved in the Lutheran Church and Red River SPCA. He is preceded in death by his father, David Boyce. He is survived by his parents Frederick and Kathryn Olinger of Mechanicsburg, PA; children Samantha B. Goins (Chad) of Bowie, TX, Timmie W. Boyce (Timothy) of Exeter, CA, and Ryan N. Boyce of Cedar Rapids, IA; his siblings David R. Boyce (Donna) of Toledo, OR, Daniel Boyce (Bernadette) of Midlothian, VA, and Suzanne Boyce (Timothy) of Apollo, PA; 3 grandchildren; his uncle Alan Boyce (Barbara) of Mooresville, NC; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. While Tim left us far too soon, he leaves a legacy of kindness, courage, and faith. His life was filled with exploring the world and appreciating the beauty of nature and wildlife. He had a charismatic smile, sharp wit, and delightful sense of humor. He was a loving father, son, brother, and friend and will be dearly missed. Memorial service with military honors and inurnment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA on May 12th at 11AM.
