Marvin Willard Plumlee

Marvin Willard Plumlee, 90, of Kansas City, MO. passed away at Research Hospital in Kansas City on Thursday, March 9, 2023. He had an embolic stroke from which he never recovered. He was a long standing member of Carpenters Local 61. He loved working with his hands, building playhouses, bridges, and mansions. He couldn’t read very well but he could read a blueprint and calculate in his head what materials he needed to get the job done. Marvin and wife Martha were married in 1951. Though this union wasn’t permanent three daughters and one son were born. Pamela Daugherty and husband Dwight of Green Valley AZ. Questa Baird and husband Dave of Willow Springs, MO., Deborah Kriz of Sugar Creek, MO. Marvin Plumlee II and wife Kimberly of Gravois Mills, MO. including 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Norma, his mother and father, four sisters and one brother. A celebration of life will be announced this spring.
