Obituary of Cynthia Ann Jaskowiak
Cynthia Ann Share Jaskowiak, of Bucyrus, Kansas, peacefully passed away on her 70th birthday, September 7, 2021, after a year-long battle with brain cancer. Cynthia was born on September 7, 1951 to Rose and Charles Share in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Cynthia’s love for education began when she was a student. She received her bachelors, masters, and educational specialist (ABD) degrees from the University of Missouri. Cynthia married Dennis Jaskowiak on July 27, 1974. She was the devoted mother to Derek, Emily, and Allison. Cynthia whole-heartedly supported her children in all their academic and extra-curricular endeavors. Her enthusiastic support and loud cheers from the sidelines were her trademarks. Cynthia dedicated her professional life to helping children and adults understand the power of their mind. Throughout her 43 years in education, she held many different positions ranging from high school English teacher to assistant superintendent. Her vast knowledge, personable leadership style, and infectious laugh were appreciated by her colleagues. Upon retirement in 2015, Cynthia’s main objective was to spend as much time with her family as possible, specifically her ever-growing number of grandchildren. At the time of her death, she had 13 grandchildren who have many fond and funny memories with their hilarious “Gram.” Cynthia is survived by her husband of 47 years, Dennis Jaskowiak; mother, Rose Share; sister, Suzanne (Gary) Lindhorst; children, Derek (Elizabeth) Jaskowiak, Emily Jaskowiak (Brian Sherburne), Allison (Ian) Kennedy; and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Share and sister, Sandra Ellen Share. Her family will be holding a private memorial to celebrate Cynthia’s life.
