Teresa Faure

With inconceivable sadness I write: Teresa J. (Seeholzer) Faure of New Smyrna Beach, Florida passed away Sunday afternoon, January 29, 2023 at home with her devoted daughter at her side and surrounded by her beloved sister, Christine and cousin Fran, with family photos and memories. God looked around His garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb So he closed your weary eyelids and whispered, "Peace be thine." It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone, For part of us went with you, the day God called you Home. (Poet Unknown) Teri was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 13th 1945 to August and Vivian (Brannan) Seeholzer, moving to and growing up on Candlewood Lake, Danbury, CT with her sister, Christine (Seeholzer) Rebbert. She married Rick Faure (1944-2022) of New Milford, CT in April 1963 and raised three children in Washington Depot, CT. She enjoyed her family, friends, her banking career and traveling; then moving to Florida in 1997. With a love of books, she began a new career with the Volusia County library system while continuing her volunteer work up until the day she passed away. Over her lifetime she had numerous service commitments including Notary, Power Squadron, Lions Club, Friend's of the Port Orange Library, Eucharist Minister serving Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Port Orange, FL. Teri is predeceased by her husband, Richard A Faure (2022), her daughter, Teresa (Faure) Moots (2013) and her son, Richard A Faure Jr (1984). My mother's Mass will be held on Friday, March 3rd at 8:30am at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church 4675 S. Clyde Morris Blvd. Port Orange, FL. The service can be attended virtually at https://www.ladyofhope.org/mass-times A full funeral mass will be held for both Richard and Teresa Faure on Thursday, April 27th at 11:00am at St. Francis Catholic Church 26 Chestnut Land Rd. New Milford, CT. Private interment to follow.
