Christina M Wise

Christina M. (Tuma) Wise of Jacksonville Fl passed away January 31, 2023 at the age of 79 after battling a rare form of aggressive cancer. Christina was born in Corning, New York on March 22, 1943; daughter of Rev. Jaroslav and Mary Ann (Kapral) Tuma. At the age of 18, Christina graduated from Corning NY Northside High School in 1961. In 1973, Christina became a licensed hairdresser and cosmetologist. Christina had always loved the arts; she was known for her beautiful cakes which she had received certificates of merit and honorable mentions. But Christina’s true passion was astrology. In 1975; She was a member in good standing with the West Coast Astrological Society and Colegio International De Astrologia for the license to practice astrology. In 1991, Christina received the Honorable Scroll of Mention for her Pioneer Work in Greater New York State from the Professional Astrologers Incorporated. Christina is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Blanchard (Anthony Palladino) of Horseheads, NY; daughter and caregiver, Marybeth Peigler, her beloved grandson, Logan Peigler of Jacksonville, Fl; her sister, Lucy and brother-in law Richard “Butch”, (deceased) Clawson of Valois, NY, (Goddaughter); Marcy Ofinowicz, (Kasey and Hannah Ofinowcz), of Rochester, NY, Brenda Clawson, (Maddison and Heath Strassburg), of Hector, NY, sister in-law Lois and brother, Lewie (deceased) Tuma, of Corning, NY, Scott, Sandra and Jonathon Tuma, of Painted Post, NY, Mike and MaryAnn Kapral, of Florida, Helen Coons, of Corning, NY, and George Kapral, of Corning, NY. A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at The Cosmic Church of Truth, 1637 Hamilton Street, Jacksonville, FL 32210.
