Carol Ann Welsh Shipley

Carol Ann Welsh Shipley of Midlothian, Texas passed away on Friday, December 31st, 2021 at the age of 66. She was born on June 29th, 1955 in Dallas, Texas where she grew up in the Oak Cliff area. Carol graduated from Kimball High School in 1973. She worked as a government service employee at home and abroad for AAFES. She was actively involved in the SPCA of North Texas as well as a puppy raiser for the Southeastern Guide Dogs school. She enjoyed family gatherings as well as researching her family’s lineage through a passion for genealogy. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Winters Leslie Welsh and Mary Elizabeth Benton, and her sister Joyce Marie Vanderslice. She is survived by her sister, Anita Thetford-Keen and husband Jerry, her son Scott Alan Shipley and wife Jennifer, and grandson Zachary Austin Shipley. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service which will be announced at a later date.
