OBITUARY

Wendy Danielle (Travis) Brownewell

May 16, 1977September 3, 2020

Wendy Danielle (Travis) Brownewell, 43, of Fishers, Indiana, formerly of Lowell, Indiana, died on September 3, 2020 at her home.

Wendy was born in Crown Point, Indiana on May 16, 1977 to Gary Travis and Nancy Gail (Kelley) Richart. Wendy attended Lowell High School. Wendy was a hard worker who succeeded at every job she had and was employed at Tom Wood Ford of Indianapolis at the time of her death.

Wendy was a great wife, mom, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Wendy was a devoted Girl Scout Leader of troop 341, working alongside Vicki Livingston for 8 years. She excelled at taking care of everyone and getting things done, or as she would say “GSD”. Wendy had a smile that would light up a room and her laugh was positively infectious. Those that met her instantly saw the beautiful light in her eyes. The world is now a dimmer place for all those that were lucky enough to have known her.

Wendy is survived by her husband, Aaron Brownewell of Fishers, IN; her daughter, Hailey Brownewell of Fishers, IN; her son Dalton Corning of Fishers, IN; her son Quincey Corning of Denver, CO; her sister Tina Travis of Fishers, IN; her sister Stephanie (Matt) Fuller of Rochester, IL; her brother Drew (Kelly) Travis of San Antonio, TX; her brother-in-law Ed (Sue) DeMik of Knoxville, TN, Michael Brownewell of Lowell, IN; her mother Nancy Gail Richart of Clinton, TN; her father-in-law Jim Brownewell of Lowell, IN; her nieces and nephews Bella, Riley, Ryan, Connor, Keaton, Andrew, Kyle, Rylie, and Ashlyn; her aunt Crystal (Don Meyers) Travis; her aunt Myra Harris, her uncle Ken (Eileen) Travis; her uncle Steve Travis; her uncle Mike Kelley; her aunt Dawn Croach; and her cousins Jalyn (Brian) Feth; Amber (Randy) Hacker; Jed (Michelle) Travis; Nick (Emily) Travis; Shay Travis; Amy (Nick) Nelson; Michael Lopez; Anthony (Jim) Lopez; Brandon Lopez; Michael (Julie) Kelley; Meredith (Mike) Gilmore; Pam (Gary) Diulio; Kristin (Tom) Walstra; Scott (Stacy) Diulio; and Tim Kelley.

Wendy was preceded in death by her father, Gary Travis; her mother-in-law Hope Brownewell; her Uncle Chuck Croach; and her grandparents.

One of Wendy’s greatest joys was the opportunity to gather with family and friends. Consequently, to honor this amazing soul who touched so many around her, a celebration of her life will be scheduled when Covid restrictions are lifted. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hailey’s college fund at Chase Bank via Zelle at haileybrownewellcollegefund@gmail.com, or at any local Chase Bank branch.
