Obituary of Kelly Marie Johnson
Kelly Marie (Voss) Johnson, 51, of McCordsville, Indiana, passed away on September 1, 2022. She was born on January 18, 1971, in Davenport, Iowa, to Jerry Voss and Edith (Cluff) Voss Anderson. Kelly graduated from high school and attended Indiana University School of Dentistry where she received her Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. Kelly was so dedicated to the dental field and to all of her patients, and she loved her career. She met Anthony Johnson in June of 1995 in an America Online chat room. They chatted online until January of 1996. They went on to be married January 11, 1997, and together they had two children, Morgan and Charlie. Kelly and Tony loved traveling as a family to Florida, Hawaii and other places. They just celebrated twenty-five years together by going to Las Vegas this year. Kelly was a volunteer for the Mount Vernon School District with the Boosters Club and with the high school swim team. Also, she served in the children’s ministry at Harvest Church where she attended. While her crowning glory was her husband and children, Kelly was the biggest Duran Duran fan. She went to all their concerts close enough to drive to. She has been back stage and met all of the band members. She also had a love of all of the TV shows about first responders, with all the drama and action. Kelly leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her loving husband of twenty-five years, Tony Johnson, and her two children, Morgan Johnson and Charlie Johnson; her mother, Edith Anderson; two brothers, Tony Voss and Ted Voss; along with many extended family and friends, and two cats, Jingles and Dexter. She is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Voss. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 p.m. on Oct.1, 2022, at Harvest Church, 6107 West Airport Boulevard, Suite 120, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. The doors will open at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will take place. Neptune Society is in charge of arrangements. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the Johnson family at:
