Obituary of Delores R. Bouton
Delores Rosaline Bouton, age 93, of Mason, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022 at home surrounded by her family and her beloved dog, Josie. Delores was born on August 10, 1929 in Central Falls, RI. She was the daughter of Veronica Burghardt and was raised by her Grandma Musotek. Delores had 3 siblings, brothers, Don and Kenny and a sister, Phyliss. Delores was the loving wife to Robert Bouton for 51 years and an incredible "Mudder like no udder" to 6 children. Delores's faith was an essential part of her life. She lived as a beautiful example of what it meant to be the hands and feet of Jesus. She loved camping with her 6 children at Burlingame State Park and with some of her grandchildren in Ludington, MI. She was an amazing painter, sculptor and gardener. She enjoyed learning new things and became a master gardener through MSU. Anyone who has seen her gardens knows that she could make anything beautifully bloom! Delores loved to travel and visited many countries including: France, Germany, Italy, Thailand and Africa, her favorite. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and son, Eric. Surviving are her children, Robert Jr., James (Colleen), Mark (Judy), Karl and her daughter Inger. She was a loving grandmother to, Allison, Erika, Tiffany, Jamie, Chris, Dustin, Kevin, Alex, Alyssa, Grant, Max, Richard and Sarah. Delores has several great-grandchildren and others that lovingly called her, 'Nan'. On Saturday, November 19th at Mason Community Church, 1000 East Columbia, Mason, MI visitation will begin at 3:00. A Celebration of Delores's Life will start at 4:00 followed by a dinner in the gymnasium. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Delores name to Promedica Hospice or the Salvation Army.
