Jacqueline Rose Gunderson

Jacqueline Rose Gunderson, 89, passed away on March 11, 2023. She was born on April 14, 1933, in Johnstown, PA. and grew up in Detroit, MI. She married the love of her life, Bob Gunderson in 1955 and they moved to Blaine, Minnesota to raise their family and developed lifelong friendships with many in the neighborhood. They were active parishioners of Saint Timothy’s Catholic Church, enjoying social activities and volunteering many areas of the parish. Jackie was employed for over 20 years as a Social Worker for Anoka County. Bob and Jackie moved to Lake Placid, FL. to enjoy their retirement years and became active volunteers in their community and church there as well. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert Gunderson, parents Delphin and Rose Thomas, brother Robert and sister Dorothy Mulka (Richard). Survived by brother Edward (Barbara), children Tobias (Brenda), Bradley, Matthew (Ronda), Jason (Pamela) and Joy Gunderson-Foley. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Epiphany Assisted Living and Memory Care staff and Grace Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Jackie during her battle with Dementia. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church at 707 89th Ave NE, Blaine, MN 55434 on April 5th, 2023, at 11:00am. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00am. Interment to follow at a later date at Fort Snelling with immediate family only.
