OBITUARY
Donald L. Moarn Jr.
May 12, 1950 – January 25, 2023

Donald L. "Lee" Moarn, of Lockport, Illinois, passed away at the age of seventy-two on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Lee is known to one and all for his dedication to caring for others. He received his associate's degree in nursing from Triton College and his bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of St. Francis. He was a nurse for nearly 50 years and was still active in the community, managing a local COVID vaccination clinic until just before his passing. He was known to respond to calls for help in a crisis, including Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and the earthquake in Haiti. Lee took his role as the family patriarch very seriously and took care of everyone, especially with his banana bread and brownies. He was a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs and an avid cyclist. Lee was just "too cha-cha for words," and he will be greatly missed.
Lee is survived by his four remaining siblings, Charlie, Hugh, Marti Gaige, and Angela, as well as several generations of nieces and nephews, ranging to one great-grandniece. His memorial service will occur at St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in Lockport at 1 pm on Saturday, May 6, 2023. It will be a combined service with his sister, Mary Wehle, who passed away the same day.
