I have just been informed this past weekend of Pastor Judy’s passing and I am just heart broken. Judy served as our Pastor at St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Alexandria, Virginia for many years. She was completely beloved by our congregation and was responsible for growing our church not only by significant numbers of members, but certainly spiritually. Pastor Judy was just what St. Andrews needed! She really brought us together with her incredible gifts, talents, creativity, loving nature, openness, spunk, intellect, expertise and an unsurpassed zest for life. Pastor Judy literally got everyone involved and delivered amazing and inspiring sermons every Sunday. Her positive energy was contagious! How truly blessed we were to have her as our Pastor and friend. I am terribly saddened by this tremendous loss, but absolutely grateful that she was part of my family’s life. Until we meet again dear Judy , continue to lift that beautiful, special voice of yours. Amen.

We are thankful for the beautifully creative life of Judy Loehr and for what she meant to all who called her friend and family. Judy was a wonderful counselor who truly listened and heard you. She had the inimitable quality of making those she spoke with feel so very important. She was a gentle soul with a fierce resolve to work for equality for all people. She welcomed everyone with open arms and generously shared love and laughter with those around her. Her never ending thirst for learning, her keen sense of style, her artistic flair, her quick wit, her love of ministry and her devotion to family and friends will be missed. Rest forever, dear soul, in the love of God.
A celebration of life will be planned for Judy in the fall of 2020.

My sincere condolences to Judy’s family on her loss. Judy was a multitalented lady who was always eager to serve her parishioners, her community and her theatrical/choir families. I have many fond memories of working with Judy on theatrical productions and also with the Hill Country Singers. One of my most favorite memories is being invited to join her on a trip to Nashville, and to meet her lovely daughter Elise. She was so gracious to ask me to go, and our time spent together was wonderful. May our Heavenly Father give her family His Grace and Comfort at this most difficult time, as we all mourn her passing.
Sincerely,

As one of the longtime members of Rolling Hills Community Church Choir in Lago Vista, Texas, I am sorry to hear of sweet Judy Loehr's passing. After singing with us for years, Judy heroically agreed to take over as Music Director when our longtime Director retired. From Fall 2016 through Winter 2017, she led us through a wonderful Christmas Cantata, as well as many weeks of great music, even while preparing to move to Tennessee. Judy was a very special, outgoing, funny, kind, thoughtful, and serving person (and minister). She will be missed by all who knew her. In Christ, Alan Price
