Obituary of Edward Harry Robertson Sr.
Edward Harry Robertson, Sr. of Nampa, Idaho passed away on March 17, 2023 at the age of 80. He was born on August 11, 1942 in Glenns Ferry, Idaho where he grew up in town with his family and then later his family bought a ranch along the Snake River in King Hill, Idaho. He graduated from Glenns Ferry High School and soon enlisted with the Navy. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1965 and was shortly hired on in Glenns Ferry with the Union Pacific Railroad. He had a distinguished career as an Engineer for over 30 years. At the age of 25, he married Kathy and went on to have two beautiful children. Ed lived a full life by enjoying his family, investing in the lives of others, and being a blessing wherever he could. He loved taking his family on trips across the United States to enjoy the country he loved while visiting extended family. He loved telling stories and making jokes with his fun-loving sense of humor. He was active in the various churches he attended over his life and was a Master Mason in the Masonic Lodge. Ed was twice blessed with a second marriage to June on Saturday, March 17, 2003. They had many adventures befitting a well-deserved retirement. Many family dinners were had with both sets of children which quickly developed into one unique family unit. Ed is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Wynette Robertson, his younger sister, Barbara, and his first wife, Kathleen. Ed is survived by his wife, June, and sons Ed Jr. (and wife Megan), GC, and Jim; daughter, Wynette (and husband Shawn); sister, Ann; grandchildren, Mike, Haylee, Bradley, Laura, Anna, Beth, Cindy, and Julianna; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Brantley, and Sawyer; nieces Diana, Elizabeth, and Keri. As well as cherished cousins and extended family. The family would like to thank First Choice Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebratory wake at United Church of Christ on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 11am-2pm. Cards will be provided to write down special thoughts and memories. Thank you for your condolences as we transition through this difficult time.
