Roy Thomas Rogers

Roy T. Rogers, 78 (age) of Cameron, TX, passed away on March 7th at 8:20 PM. He was born on August 10, 1944in Morgan City, LA to Harris Rogers and Helen Rogers. Roy is survived by his three children, Kathleen Wright, Allen Rogers and Mark Rogers. Roy served in the United States Marine Corps. For 6 years, serving 2 tours in Vietnam. Roy was extremely proud of his service to our country, as are his children of his sacrifices in doing so. Roy was the one of 6 sons, Jimmy Rogers is his last surviving brother who Roy loved with all of his heart. Roy had an endless list of friends, and it was said by one of his dearest friends…Roy never met a stranger. Everyone that met Roy…instantly loved him. Roy had a long and distinguished career as a Project Manager and Owners representative for the construction of many buildings across this great country. Roy was an avid hunter and fisherman and just generally loved the outdoors. Roy had a smile that could light up the room, and a sense of humor that could clear one...at least of the sensitive ones. You will forever be missed by your children… In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Semper Fi & America’s Fund.
