Penelope Ellen Felger
December 11, 1941 – September 12, 2022
Penelope Ellen Price Felger, 80, of Austin, Texas, passed away with family at her side on September 12, 2022. Penelope had a full life starting in Annapolis, Maryland as the daughter of George Marvin Price of Live Oak, Florida, and Helen Lucille Ross Price of Bonham, Texas. Penelope’s life with us was that of kindness, giving, and strength, with a core foundation in God and her family and friends. Penelope married Milton Robbert Felger of Victoria, Texas, on April 18, 1964, after meeting in Coronado, California. Penelope supported her family with love, compassion, and the constant effort of moving as a military family. Anywhere Penelope lived, she made lifelong friends. Penelope’s foundation in Christ started with her baptism in 1942 at the United States Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis, Maryland. She followed that up through her Confirmation at Christ Episcopal Church in 1955. She honored Christ with her voice in choir and playing the handbells in Winter Park, Florida, at Saint John’s Lutheran Church. Penelope was a master in legal and property matters with a career as a Paralegal and Property Manager. Penelope supported her husband through numerous and complex Pro Se and counseled litigations for property and property rights. Penelope gave back to the community through the Naval Officers Wives’ Club (chapter past President), Tau Omicron Phi Sorority (chapter past President), and Winter Park Garden Club. Penelope lived her life with love for her two surviving sisters: Valarie Price Bourland Farrar of Coral Gables, Florida, and Pamela Price Klebaum of Ventura, California. Penelope is also survived by the love of her life and soul mate, Milton Robbert Felger, with whom she is survived by her three children and their families: Jeff and Margaret Felger, Jennifer and Paul Austin, and Jonathan and Namrata Felger. She was honored to love six grandchildren: Rachel, Joshua, Evan, Micah, Caleb, and Neil. Penelope lived a life strong and with love, taking on challenges of moving and health. Her soul now is with God. Penelope embodied God’s Grace of love without personal gain. Penelope’s life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Saint Martin’s Lutheran Church, 606 West 15th Street, Austin, Texas, 78701, with scripture, honor to God, and the joy of music. Peace be with you all. The family would be honored for donations to be made to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, 4801 La Crosse Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78739, by mail or online at wildflower.org/donate.
