Jerry Allen Hall

On Sunday, January 29, Jerry Allen Hall, a beloved husband and father, passed away at the age of 89 at his home in Georgetown, Texas. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 4 at Ramsey Funeral Home, 5600 Williams Dr, Georgetown, TX 78633. A reception will follow the service. Jerry was born on February 11, 1933, in Wilson Oklahoma to Marie and Sam Wayne Hall. Jerry grew up in Sherman Texas where he graduated from Sherman High School. He was a star athlete for the Bearcats and lettered in football, basketball and baseball. Jerry went on to play baseball for the University of Texas. Jerry married the love of his life, Martha Sue Capps, also of Sherman, on December 31, 1955. Jerry joined the Air Force and he and Martha were stationed in Tokyo, Japan. After being discharged from the Air Force they moved back to Sherman where Jerry began a 32 year career with IBM. Jerry’s job eventually led the family to Jamesburg NJ, where he worked at IBM headquarters in New York. In 1969, Jerry was given an opportunity to move back to Tokyo to open the first ever IBM office there. Jerry and Martha happily packed up the family and moved overseas again! The years they spent in Japan were exciting and happy times for the whole family, Jerry reminisced about them often! Jerry is preceded in death by his wife Martha, of 60 years, and daughter Lisa. He is survived by his children David, Jonathan and Judy as well as eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
