Lynn D Larsen
Passed away on August 21, 2020
13 People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” 16 And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them. Mark 10:13-16
On Friday, August 21, 2020, Lynn Larsen, loving wife, mother and grandmother, was called to her heavenly resting place.
Lynn was born on March 18 1948 in Chicago, Il. To Carl and Marguerite (Gerzan) Glasser. Lynn loved being a mother and caregiver. On December 20, 1969, Lynn married Paul Larsen. Her love for her children led to a 32 year career in Foster care. They raised one son, Erick, two daughters, Kristen and Tracy, and 53 foster children.
Lynn had a compassionate and caring heart. She had a great love for the Rocky Mountains, aspen trees and the Denver Broncos. She was an amazing cook and baker. Lynn’s caring heart led her to care for medically fragile foster children, especially newborns. It was not uncommon to trip over an oxygen cord walking through their house. Grandma and Papa occupied the back pew at church for many, many years! Lynn said every child deserves to know love and their Lord.
Lynn is preceded in death by her father, Carl, her mother Marguerite, and her three brothers; Richard, Robert and Kenneth She is survived by her husband Paul, her three children, Erick (Sharon), Kristen, Tracy (Chris Delsordo), her ten grandchildren, Derrik, Megan, Ashley, Lukas, Anna, Robert, Claira, Abigale, Gabrielle, Holland and numerous nephews and nieces.

Lynn was such a thoughtful lady and loved to bring joy to others. I recall all of the Halloween costumes she sewed for her children and foster children! Very elaborate costumes! They were always the best ones in the entire school at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran School. When we moved from Colorado to Wisconsin, she handed down all of her costumes to our family and my kids wore them out! But every time they wore them I smiled and thought of Lynn and her HUGE heart! Her memory will live on with so many people. And now she is in heaven, ready to greet all of us someday! What a lucky lady!
