A loving and caring grandfather and a dad. I grew up without a father figure in my life and he was the closest thing I had to a father. He taught me so many things about life and what it takes to be a man. I will never forget the time he took me to the pool. He asked me " Do you kown how to swim?" I replied " No!" Then his response " Well your going to learn!" as he pushed me in the deep end. He knew I was going to figure it out and I did. This is just one of many memories that I will never forget. As a kid I loved to talk a lot as most kids do, so he gave me the nick name The Chatterbox. That was my name for most of my childhood. I respected and loved my grandfather. One of the most difficult things about his passing is not seeing him on the back porch. He loved to be outside rather if it was 90 degrees outside or - 50 outside. He was out there. I would always see him on the back porch I would go outside to see him. The first thing he would do is say " What's up big Guy!" Then he would put his hand out. I miss him so very much. The last memory I will share is on his last days. I went to say my goodbyes. I said " Hi Grandpa!" He opened up his eyes and said "Jon!". Then he went back to sleep. I knew right then and there the I meant something to him, that he loved me just as much as I loved him. I will love you and miss you for ever grandpa. You will never be forgotten.
