Obituary of Frances Loretta Chancellor
Loretta Chancellor passed away peacefully in her home at the age 87. She was born to Carl and Mary Kiesler in Pueblo, CO. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; son Carl (Bub) Simco; son Jay Simco and husband James (Jim) Chancellor. Loretta is survived by her sister Marie Karney of Peyton, CO; children Susan (Dean) Hrdlichka of Canon City, CO; Jill (Theron) Bennett of Falcon, CO; Joel Simco of Colorado Springs, CO; step children Deedee (James) Morrow of Boise, Idaho; Tim (Minnie) Chancellor of Broken Bow, Nebraska; Mandy Chancellor (Barb Huber) of Pueblo, CO; 6 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Loretta was born in Pueblo, CO to Carl and Mary Kiesler who lived in Wetmore, CO. They made their move to Canon City by the time Loretta started 2nd grade where she was raised along with her younger sister. After graduating high school, Loretta became a hairdresser and worked her way to owning her own salon while residing in Colorado Springs. She then started passionately building a Shaklee business all while running a salon and raising her 5 children whom she had with her former husband Jack Simco. After her children were grown with families of their own, she met and married her late husband Jim Chancellor, who was a rancher. Loretta worked and lived the ranch life for many years while still being enthusiastically involved in her business of nutrition and health with Shaklee. Her involvement within the Shaklee community spread far and wide as she was involved with the company for over 50 years and won multiple awards for her service and dedication to health and helping others in their own path to health and wellness. Aside from her devotion and love of her family, which always came first for Loretta, she had many passions throughout her extraordinary life. Her hobbies included bird watching, playing rummy and photography. It is an understatement to say that Loretta "Granny", will be sorely missed by all the lives she had made such a profound impact on. In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial contributions to be made to The Pikes Peak Chapter of Compassionate Friends. A grief support group which Loretta held close to her heart. Compassionatefriends.org A celebration of life will be held for Loretta on Sunday, June 11th from 12PM - 2PM at John Metcalfe Park (618 E Ohio Ave, Fountain, CO 80817).
