Obituary of Belinda E Garcia
Belinda Elena Lujan-Garcia, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and geat grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of November 16, 2022. Belinda was born on December 18th, 1933 to Antanacio and Aurelia Elena Manzanares-Lujan in Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico. Belinda is survived by her husband of 66 years, George Cecilo Garcia, five daughters: Debra Ann Lujan (Frank-dec.), Barbara G. Garcia, Georgia Cecilia Parras (Gerald), Katherine Elena Vigil (Andrew-dec.) and Mary Margaret Garcia. Belinda was a wonderful and loving grandmother to her 11 grandchildren: Jason, Dominic and Adriano Lujan, Joshua and Andrew Pena, Gabriel and Gerrid Parras, Anthony, Carlos and Kristopher Vigil, Breannon and Bryan Ramirez, 11 great grandchildren: Jaslyn Rael and Emma Lujan, Korben, Jayce, Kal and Davis Pena, Ali and Jordyn Price (Vigil), and Dean, Savanah and Reid Judd (Pena). Belinda is survived by her brother George Lujan, God children Alisa Garcia,, Deena Lujan, Greg Marcos Perea, Mark Luna and many nieces and nephews. Belinda was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters Alphonso, Olivia, Donaldo and Anna. Belinda took great pride in raising her children and grandchildren and welcomed them into her loving arms daily. She will always be remembered for the unselfish love she gave to her children and her grandchildren, but expressing her love to her family with her delicious Native New Mexican cuisine ncluding the world’s best tortillas, beans, chile, biscochitos, tamales and empanadas Grandma’s house was always filled with love and the aroma of her delicious tortillas, , freshly roasted green chile and beans. She inspired her daughters and grandchildren to carry on family traditions not only by her love of her family and culture, but by being a true example of her rich faith in God and her church. Belinda will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of her company. Though the last several years had robbed her memory of family and friends, we know that our memories of her will live on for all of time and eternity. She will live on not only in our memories, but by her inspiration and unconditional love of family and her Catholic faith. We will never forget the love you gave to all of us and you will live on in our hearts forever!. Rest in peace our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother and great -grandmother. We take comfort in knowing that you are at peace and are watching over us. May God grant you eternal peace and joy of which you so graciously earned during your years on earth. Belinda’s rosary and funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 30th at St. Joseph’s on the Rio Grande Roman Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph’s Drive NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87120. Officiant of the mass will be Belinda’s cousin, Monsignor Lambert Luna. The rosary will begin at 8:15 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 9:00 a.m.
